After the sensational success of the film “House of Gucci“ and planned release of the “The New Look“ series about Christian Dior, now it’s time for a serial story telling us about designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. The premier is expected on the Disney+ platform already this year. The work is in process. The film is shot in the most picturesque locations in Spain and France. The very first shots of the film are already available on Instagram. For the modern youth Balenciaga is not only a brand of super trendy sneakers from 2021. The story about the designer itself is known only to the most curious fashion connoisseurs. That’s why the story about the couturier`s life is so much anticipated in the fashion environment. The script for the series is written by Rebecca Pollack and Kas Graham. The role of producer belongs to Frida Torresblanco.
It is expected that the action of the Balenciaga series will start in 1937, from the moment when young Cristóbal Balenciaga opened his atelier located at Avenue George V in Paris. Series with the working title “Balenciaga“ will be released on Disney+ in a format of 50-minute series. The exact date of the premiere is still a secret.
